Subheadline: OMG! Blog drama! Pie fight! Soon the Hillastrikers will be chomping popcorn in the peanut gallery and meta-Jesus will be weeping.
BrEaKiNg! Kos Invites Members to Leave. Again.
Today in the community of Daily Kos, a nasty fight has broken out over the very important story of presidential candidate Barack Obama’s decision to appear on the Great Satan of News, Fox. Or "Faux" as it’s known on the popular rabid liberal lambs website.
Many feel Senator Obama made a grave mistake appearing in a interview with noted journalist for Satan, Chris Wallace. Kos was among them.
And since I've never put Obama on a pedestal, this doesn't knock him down. What this does demonstrate, and quite clearly so, is that Obama is quite willing to score cheap political points at the expense of his base, regardless how much it might embolden the very same people that are working to demonize him to the American people.
The hew and cry from Obama supporters for this ant-Obama treachery was ferocious and approaching 1000 comments. The fact that kos admits he doesn't put Obama on a pedestal offers proof he's in the bag for Senator Obama's opponent, Senator Hillary Clinton.
Instead of providing excerpts of the response which would require this lazy reporter to make an actual effort to research this story, I’ll just sum up the comments as falling into the following categories:
You suck, kos.
Right on, kos.
"You suck" seemed to be leading the vote count at last glance by someone else because I can’t be bothered to look.
Some members of the community were less interested in the battle. "What? No pie? Well that just sucks.", said an unidentified Kossack.
Some were livid, "Well, this just goes to prove kos is on Clinton’s payroll. Next thing you know he’ll be mentioning Jerome Armstrong and pushing his reading list on unwary Kossacks."
To make matters worse, Kos has told loyal Kossacks to piss off if they don’t like it.
If you have a problem with it, you might want to go elsewhere, because this is the reality based community, not the "Obama can do no wrong" community. The dude is human, believe it or not.
The general reaction to this unprecedented callout (note: reporter never bothered to research the other times kos invited members of his rabid flock to leave) was:
"Well, I never. How dare he say that."
"Fine, if that’s the way you want it."
"You’ll be sorry when we’re gone and you’ll have NOTHING. NOTHING."
"Screw you kos, I’m going home. Oh wait, I'm already home. Well, then just screw you, kos."
"Reality base my (blank), asshole."
"Yawn, kos is telling people they can leave again? What? Is this like the 100th time or something? Is there going to be like a huge purge party or something? Will there be pie?"
Unidentified blogger mentaldebris summed up her feelings as thus: "Frankly my dears, I don’t really give a shit."
She shuffled away muttering, "When will this fucking nightmare of a primary end?"
Fox blowhard Bill O'Really had no comment but his spokesloofah predicted this dustup will be the end of the Daily Kos. Again.
This diary will self-destruct in three days.
